皇家與金鶯衝突事件懲處判決出爐，皇家先發投手溫杜拉（Yordano Ventura）因蓄意觸身球遭禁賽9場，金鶯三壘手馬恰多（Manny Machado）因出拳遭禁賽4場，兩人皆提出上訴，禁賽暫緩執行。

馬恰多今天仍在金鶯出戰藍鳥的車貸年利率計算 先發名單中，他在賽前表示，「大聯盟做出了決定，但我絕對會上訴，看看會有什麼結果吧！」

馬恰多不後悔出拳，唯一遺憾的是將害隊友以24人應戰，「感覺會很糟，只有24人在出賽名單上一定會很艱難，但結果出來後，我就會接受懲處，我也相信我的隊友會挺身而出。」

金鶯總教練蕭瓦特（ Buck Showalter）有點意外馬恰多提出上訴，但他也透露已與馬恰多聊過，「我們已經想過可能會面臨哪些懲處，而他也會接受懲罰，最重要的是，不管何時執行禁賽，他的隊友都會為他收拾殘局。」

蕭瓦特表示，上訴的用意在於確定禁賽懲處是否公平，一但結果確定，馬恰多就會乖乖執行，不管屆時金鶯遭遇的對手是誰。

溫杜拉雖遭禁賽9場，但因他是先發投手，可能只會跳過1場先發，對球隊的影響反而較小。

蕭瓦特對此拒絕發表意見，「那是大聯盟的事情、皇家的事情，我們兩隊今年的交手場次已經打完，除非兩隊都進入季後賽，所以我想我該說的都說完了，他們也不需要我來發表意見。」

>此外，兩人皆遭到罰款，馬恰多遭罰2500美金，溫杜拉的罰款金額則未曝光。儘管2500美元對馬恰多而言只是小case，但早在衝突事件發生第一天，金鶯外野手瓊斯（Adam Jomes）就已經挺身而出，「馬恰多的罰金，我包了！」
