（路透華盛頓9日電）美國民主黨總統參選人桑德斯（Bernie Sanders）今天表示，他將會與對手希拉蕊．柯林頓（Hillary Clinton）合作，以擊敗共和黨人選川普（Donald Trump），但他承諾會持續選戰直到下週的最後一場初選。

佛蒙特州聯邦參議員桑德斯與民主黨籍總統歐巴馬會晤後，在白宮外對記者作以上表示。民主黨人持續對他施壓，要求他結束激烈的黨內總統提名爭霸戰，表態支持希拉蕊。

曾任國務卿的希拉蕊本周贏得獲得民主黨提名所需的足夠黨代表票，將成為美國主要政黨推出的首位女性總統候選人。

桑德斯表示，他已向希拉蕊道賀，也期待未來與她會面。他也感謝歐巴馬在民主黨初選過程中保持中立。

不過，他又說，他將參加14日在華盛頓特區舉行的最後一場初選。他的陣營原先表示，他會奮戰到7月的民主黨全國代表大會，屆時民主黨將正式選出總統候選人。

歐巴馬料將很快表態支持希拉蕊，他今天在白宮接待桑德斯到訪，一起步入橢圓形辦公室時兩人有說有笑。

歐巴馬昨天曾說，如今希拉蕊既已篤定贏得黨內提名，將代表參加11月8日的總統大選，希望今後幾周能夠開始修補民主黨內部的裂痕。中央社（翻譯）
